Should these cards be in the hands of a bbeg, how screwed would the party be if he uses the skull on all of us while he makes easy work on his own? Cause our current campained homebrew, six cards have been drawn now and um... barbarian got goated into drawing one from this twisted tabaxi jester nutcase and got a demon huntress hunting him. Wizard drew the idoit card and has become a vegetative state now worth being a meat shield. And lastly our bard drew the ruin card to his already debt now multiplied by hundreds. Also we got captured because bbeg drew the knight who killed our ranger in a ambush..

Wood elves also make fantastic monks.

Im running a drow juggernaut14 battlemaster6 build. Its a dex con build with a lot of options that work.

Still researching but looking to go down the 3/17 split but with Pact of the Tome. Cantrip scaling is the main idea and while covering my elemental bases with it and EB for Force. It doesn’t need to be overwhelming powerful, just needs to be versatile. It’s actual spell slots all dedicated to either defensive spells or manipulation. Not sure if I should go 3W/17R or the other way around as both get pretty powerful they just miss the last 3 levels that I’ll need to weight against each other. Currently only 1R/2W in the campaign so we’ll see. I don’t have all the books so DnDBeyond doesn’t allow for a lot of choice in character creation. Charging the same as the physical version of the book for an online only version also hurts the pocket.

I have a chaotic-good grung character named Trex. He was living in his jungle tribe as a small child, human settlers killed them and he was the sole survivor. Afterwards, he was forced to flee to the nearby city where he started a gang with the goal of ending oppression against grung.

For my first long campaign I rolled stats, I really love rolling stats maybe because I am lucky and also like it when my character has a big flaw.

Just wanted to note that this is the second video where you've spoken on the war caster feat saying that you can only cast a cantrip with instead of a melee attack on opportunity attacks. As long as the spell only targets one creature, you can also use leveled spells with war caster. Inflict wounds as someone is leaving your area has been a favorite on my cleric build. Although, fitting with a fighter mage, the booming blade cantrip is a solid choice for them since they have a limited leveled spell resource with multiclassing.

Well I was a lizardfolk fighter that had the leaping lizard, sheild, and that rapier, and not to forget about the defensive tactics as my fighting style and when I tried to do this my DM whent hell no and destroyed my character now the only thing I have is my bite and hungry jaws and that is it nothing else

You mentioned moral implications at the start that got me thinking just how morally questionable can you get with this spell? Usually I make a copy of my character so fully aware of what is done and can almost work as one since they think the same way. I also am planning to find an NPC Wizard that can cast True Polymorph then Wish for a Simulacrum of them then use the Simulacrum to cast True Polymorph on my character since the DM rules that True Polymorph allows you to retain class abilities of the PC so find a form that can change shape into a humanoid form and go from there. I may go one step further and create a Clone in the new form and make the change immune to dispell.

My friend is planning on making a campaign for our friend group when they move, so while nothings confirmed or even planned yet probably I kinda wanna do a ghost in the shell type warforged where you were once a human who wanted to cheat their illness and transfer their mind into the body of a warforged using magic and alchemy and gradually turns more and more robotic and unfeeling unlike most warforged stories (if the dm will allow it of course). I havent really heard of people having this type of robo boi and that could be for some very good reason that I don't know and I could be making a huge mistake but we'll see lmao

I’d suggest building a Grung as a “Pact of the Fathomless” Warlock, then, you wouldn’t have to worry about the “Water Dependency” at all, because you made a pact with an Ocean Deity.

The only way that you can make a warrior bard sexy and cool is to put a set of bagpipes in his hand. There are no other instruments that inspire bloodlust and fear that can actually be worn while engaged in battle.

For my Dragonborn Cleric, I’d use the “Anvilwrought” gift from Theros to build a Gold or Brass Dragonborn. As a champion of Purphoros, God of the Forge, Metallic Dragonborns could be built as Masters of Bladesmithing.

i went with a hill dwarf - champion fighter -criminal/spy -chaotic neutral-.. trying to get back something that was stolen from me .. and often forgets the plan or ignores it completely.. best way to get my help is to tell me that dwarf's couldn't do that task its to hard for them

Currently playing in a spelljammer campaign where I am a plasmoid astral monk/echo knight multiclass. It’s incredibly fun to use in and out of combat; and the subclasses really feel complementary. Unarmed fighting style is a must. Only took one feat (so far) in Sentinel, but mobile & skill expert are excellent for monks imo. If I have a role amongst the party it would be the melee side of battlefield control. Which feels like what monks should be doing.

Perhaps you’d have a better chance at creating Dwarven Casters if they were Chosen by the Gods of Theros.

Just like dragonborn it's weird to not have darkvision, but at the same point to many races have darkvision. I also think they should be able to get water and rations from short rest with the cunning artisan because in various lore they eat pretty much anything including humanoids and humans. Meaning if it has bones it probably has meat and blood to. I also think lizardfolk should have poison resistance but maybe that would be to much but they should be able to safely eat raw meat and water that might be to dirty for other races especially if you have a gator/croc based lizardfolk. Dnd works better as a guideline than strict rules though sometimes races need tweaking to balance out better.

Newish player, so I could be wrong but with the Champion of Harm build. Doesn't the improved Crit only work for Weapon attacks, (So not unarmed strikes)? Therefor not increasing the chance of a crit.

I created a Warforged Circle of the mon Druid that was all overgrown and had moss and vines growing around him, and had it so when he wild shaped the animal form he transformed into kept the Warforged aesthetic so just giant robo/golem beasts

I have a stoner barbarian cleric multiclass and I didn’t reveal to the players (dm knew ofc) that he barbarian multi classed so in on of the big boss fights when the chill surfer guy went into a rage it was sure a suprise
